This happens to me too! Whenever I get stressed out I ask myself a set of questions. The first one I ask is if I can control the situation. If the answer is no, I take a deep breath and focus on calming myself down. If the answer is yes, I can control the situation, I ask myself if I will remember what is going on now in 5 years time. Finally, I ask if doing something about the stressful situation will benefit me enough to spend my time on it.
